Justine Nelson is the CEO of Debt Free Millennials, a personal finance education business and YouTube channel helping overwhelmed millennials improve their money situation without giving up the avocado toast. Today, we're discussing her personal finance journey and her top tips for budgeting, saving, investing, and getting out of debt.

Justine paid off $35,000 in student loan debt in two and a half years on a $37,000 salary. In this episode, she emphasizes the importance of having a clear plan to get out of debt and how doing so empowers people to take control of their financial future.

Justine was named a “YouTuber to watch” in Forbes for her simple, actionable financial tips, exploring debt, saving, and budgeting for craft beer. In 2022, Justine published her first book, “Investing for Kids Activity Book: 65 Activities About Saving, Investing, and Growing Your Money.” When she’s not in front of the camera, Justine loves exploring Los Angeles with her husband and daughter. She’s often found in the kitchen, perfecting her grandma's Puerto Rican Spanish rice.

  • Choose a budgeting strategy that works
  • Create a plan to get out of debt (while still enjoying life!)
